Lee Weigel… The Past, Present
and Future of Palm Springs
As a graduate of Palm Springs High School, a former public servant in the Palm Springs Police Department, and a resident dedicated to helping lead our community in an inclusive fashion, I hereby ask my neighbors and fellow residents to support my efforts to become your next City Councilman.
As the landmark name in the Coachella Valley, Palm Springs’ elected leaders must continue to improve and enhance the quality of our City.
My years, beginning as a patrol officer and culminating as Chief of the Palm Springs Police Department, provided me with the opportunity to work in the community and to solve problems at the local, regional and state levels. That is the experience and leadership I will take to City Hall.
I am committed to bringing consensus to our City’s governance. As a candidate for council , my agenda is simple; do what is best for the entire city I do not represent one constituent or one issue, I am running to include all points of view into a discussion and thereby recognizing that only by working together can we solve problems.
I hope my fellow citizens join me in the effort to bring harmony and common sense decision making to City Hall.
Weigel would bring balance to the City Council. He is a calm, methodical thinker. He brings the perspective and institutional knowledge of a long-time city resident. He grew up in Palm Springs, attended Palm Springs High School and worked for the city for 32 years.
